Hide X posts by keyword, or by who wrote them
Mute an account on X and its posts still leave a grey box with a button to reveal them.
You know something is there, so you press it. That is a delay, not a mute.

Matching the person, not just the post
This is the part nothing else does. A rule on the word crypto hides posts that say
crypto. A rule on a bio hides everyone whose bio says it, whatever they are
posting about today.
In practice that is how you actually clear a timeline. You are rarely tired of a word. You
are tired of a category of account, and their bios say exactly which category they are in.
It shows its work
A filter that silently eats posts is impossible to trust. Muffle keeps the last
300 hidden posts with the rule that caught each one, so you can check
it is hiding what you meant and loosen a rule that went too wide.
It also warns you if X changes the shape of its data and a rule stops matching, rather than
letting you believe it is still working.
