Turn off the X feed without leaving X
Site blockers give you one switch: all of X, or none of it. That is why nobody leaves
them on. You still have to post, and you still have to answer people.
What goes, and what stays
Muffle empties only the part that scrolls at you. Everything you actually opened X to do is
untouched.

Your own profile is deliberately left alone. Checking whether a post landed is the reason
you opened the app half the time.
It empties the data, not just the pixels
Most cleaners hide posts with CSS after X has already loaded them. Muffle rewrites the
response before X's own code sees it, so there is nothing rendered to hide and nothing left
behind a "show anyway" button.
That also means the infinite scroll has nothing to page through. The feed does not load
quietly in the background while you are elsewhere.
When this is not what you want
- You want X gone entirely. A site blocker is simpler and free.
- You read X on a phone. This is desktop Chromium only, and most doomscrolling is mobile.
- You want the feed but calmer. This blanks it rather than reordering it.
