My licence key will not activate
A key works in two browsers at once. If you have used both, open Muffle in one of them, go
to Licence and press Release, then activate here.
An activation is a Chrome profile rather than a machine, so reinstalling without pressing
Release first leaves a slot used up. If you cannot reach the other browser, email me with the
address you paid with and I will free it.
If the key is refused as invalid, check for a copied space at either end.
Where to find your key: in the receipt Dodo Payments emailed you when you
bought it, and on the invoice attached to that email. Search your inbox for "Dodo Payments".
If it is in neither, email me with the address you paid with and I will send it.
Filters stopped hiding things
X changes the shape of its data every few months, which occasionally breaks the matching.
Muffle notices and shows a warning rather than letting you believe it still works.
If you see that warning, email me. It is usually a same-week fix, and it helps to know which
rule stopped matching.
A scan finds nothing, or stops early
- The scan works by scrolling the real page, so leave that tab in front while it runs. A
background tab stops rendering and the scan stalls.
- X rate limits long scrolls. Muffle waits it out rather than pushing through, so a large
account takes minutes.
- If it finds nothing at all, you are probably signed out of X in that browser.
Unfollowing has stopped
Two different limits can stop it. The free tier allows 25 a day. Past
that, X's own limit applies: if X pushes back, Muffle pauses for fifteen minutes rather than
retrying into a longer lockout. Both say which one it is on screen.
Refunds
If Muffle does not do what this site said it does, email me and I will refund you. You do
not need to argue the case.

There is a debug mode that logs what Muffle is doing. Open the console on x.com and run
localStorage.setItem("muffle-debug", "1"), reload, and send me what it prints.
